Celebrating the ‘Century of the City’
The development industry came together last night to celebrate the year that was. In the words of the Minister for Planning’s Hon. Robert Stokes, to celebrate the ‘Century of the City’. The night showcased “An extraordinary range of developments…contributing to the Sydney skyline”.
The 2016 Urban Taskforce Development Excellence Awards was held at the Grand Ballroom at the Four Seasons Hotel (Sydney), amidst 420 of the industries finest. The event drew nominations from across the development spectrum, throughout Australia. From large scale redevelopment and renewal projects, master planned communities, high rise apartments, commercial and retail properties. From 31 finalists, 14 category winners were chosen.
Principal sponsor of the event for the past three years, The Property Industry Alliance’s Mr Justin Wang said “We are very proud to support the valuable work that the Urban Taskforce, and Chris Johnson, undertake in relation industry advocacy. The calibre of entrants this year was very strong, and we’re proud to acknowledge that two of our key development partners won their respective categories”
