On Saturday 16th June, PIA hosted the Pista Sa Nayon festival where more than 800 individuals came together to celebrate an important day for the Philippine community and raise funds for the House of Hope Foundation who offer support care for children with Cancer
Honourable guests attended the event to show their support for the Philippine community in Sydney eminent guests include; The Honourable Premier of NSW, Ms Gladys Berejiklian, The Honourable Luke Foley, Leader of the NSW Opposition and Shadow Minister for Western Sydney, The Honourable Teresa Taguiang, and the Philippine Consul General.
On the day the event showcased a multitude of cultural performances, dishes, traditional games and dances.
The turn out and involvement on the day was excellent and the sense of culture was truly felt individuals from the Philippine community came together to not only celebrate an important milestone in the country’s history but the importance of the Philippine community in Australia and to raise funds for a much needed cause.

He also thanked Anna Yuan Senior Partner of PIA who has built long-term relationships within the Philippine community; she is always involved and supporting business, individuals and community initiatives.
Justin Wang also made a charitable donation to the House of Hope Foundation for Kids with cancer Charity (Philippines) who offers support care for children with cancer. Two beautiful paintings were purchased by PIA to raise much needed funds and awareness for the foundation which represents a coming together of people (families, advocates, communities, government and child cancer networks) working to provide the best possible chances of providing holistic, multidisciplinary care for children with cancer particularly from marginalized families.
The House of Hope and the Children’s Cancer and Blood Diseases Unit are located in Southern Philippines Medical Centre.
The paintings will be proudly displayed at PIA headquarters in Sydney Olympic Park
