PIA Case Study: The Strategic Role of a Residential Property Fund by Chyi Lin Lee, Western Sydney University. 3,556 properties from the PIA housing portfolio were analysed, across 34 Sydney suburbs from 2011-2017 (with 20% equity and 80% debt financing). The housing portfolio delivered annualized average returns of 20.21% (or 16.03% value-weighted return) over the period 2012-2017.
